Nulab Design System
PROBLEM
We hoped that a design system would minimize inconsistencies across projects. Providing such a framework would make things easier for developers when starting new projects and whenever we onboarded new designers at Nulab. Prior to the development of the design system, our products always struggled to have a unified and cohesive look and feel.

CHALLENGES
There wasn’t any sort of consistency throughout Nulab products and we desperately needed a design system. Developing one was a large undertaking that we had wanted to implement for a long time but never felt we had the capacity.
Introducing a design system brought unification which was desperately needed.
PROCESS
We gathered and cataloged all previous components, colors, icons, type treatments that were shared across the four existing products.
The design team audited the shared assets by comparing what worked well and what needed improvement.
We made several iterations of redesigns to improve
the unification of all products
Presented to teams across the company and provided resources to better facilitate the onboarding of this new system.
